His Lordship Pichon – it is a novel about the childhood and young adult life of Fryderyk Chopin addressed to young readers. The book is based on facts from the life of the outstanding Polish composer of the Romantic period. The book results from comprehensive source research conducted by the author (letters, biographies, documents). It presents in a way easy to follow for the young reader, the other, less known Chopin image: a boy of many talents, full of life and sense of humour, and at the same time a brilliant artist and composer. Anna Czerwińska-Rydel created a story where she managed to keep the balance between the light dose of the "antiquated" language and its comprehensibility for children. Reading this book is a sheer pleasure thanks to interesting narration, lively dialogues, colourful descriptions and beautiful graphic design by Józef Wilkoń.
