The Wind Blows About Chopin

Place and date of publication: Warsaw 2010

Language version: Polish

Publisher: Buchmann Sp. z o.o.

Thanks to the author of the book The Wind Blows About Chopin children can learn more about the great Polish composer. The book is a rhymed essay contained in 115 verses presenting Fryderyk Chopin’s biography in a fairytale atmosphere. The style is light and the content is full of professionally inserted information which, unnoticed, introduces the young reader into the fairytale scenery and atmosphere of the world which has disappeared many years ago. The author, who has already written about 160 fairytales rhymed and in prose, makes use of her experience and gives the narration to the rushing Wind, knowing very well that such a composition and form of presenting the tale will keep children focused on longer text than an average story. This book’s asset are also rich illustrations, produced by talented artist Rafał Zawadzki. The poem has educational nature and it is enriched with patriotic accents.
